... Job done. Ayers Rock here we come! I don't think anything could prepare us for the Ayers Rock heat and flies! I didn't know what to expect and I was so distracted because the soap dispenser on the plane had sprayed all over my shorts it looked like I had wet myself that our arrival in to the desert was a bit of a blur! Luckily Charlie managed to get some photos of the rock from the air on my IPhone. It was a bit of a strange place, only 2 flights a day and coaches come to meet ...

Therefore, it was a rare treat for Ben to be able to dip in and out of the game, which was dramatic to the end. ... and the days activity took us 8.5 hours. It took us 30 mins to climb down the 400m of chain and most of that was on my bum (lucky I wasn't wearing nylon shorts !). This was the point where I was most frightened because I went first carrying Petra with Krystal right behind me. Petra keep trying to slip out of her harness and kept repeating "this is fun!" (Not!) while Krystal was determined to clamour down faster than me so I had to keep pulling ...

... Or so I was told. But there are many similarities to the Haight, Berkeley and Santa Cruz. Needless to say, footwear is optional here. I was fortunate enough to still run into people on the bus, even my very first friend I met in Cairns! I spent the first three nights with Meg and Tara, two British girls who made me laugh constantly and get "absolutely charlied!" (aka DRUNK). In exchange I introduced them the best website ever: hotdogs or legs? It's ...
