... that would affect the boat. We stood in awe of the skill of the guys shepherding this unusual load safely into the dock. We decided to visit the fishing harbour. I had a mental picture of the fishing harbour being like Polperro or some other West Country fishing village. This was different, this was serious fishing with powerful boats obviously used for commercial fishing. But, I guess, the fish are plentiful and there is strong demand for the fish. We ...

In this part of Western Australia, a road train is restricted to 36.5 metres which allows a tractor unit and 3 trailers. In other parts of Australia these land trains can consist of up to 5 trailer units. These vehicles do not hang about. They barrel along the highways at maximum allowable speeds plus. ... thirties. Oh yes an millions of flys, I now know why the Aussies have the hats with corks on. We returned back towards the beach and had arranged to go to an aboriginal experience in the Yanchep National Park. The experience wasn't quite what we expected, a bloke who I thought was a cleaner appeared, who was dressed like a janitor and proceeded to tell us a dream story about how ...

... island, I did a humpback whale watching tour (which as it turns out is absolutely impossible to get a successful picture of one) the selfish *******s didn't come anywhere near me!

I had basically done it all in a very short space of time, it's a nice city but there is not an awful lot going on. Luckily I had got myself a gig sorted out in a dairy farm and was soon heading to the small town of Busselton just south of Perth.
