Once we're onsite we decide to do two dives on the wreck since it's so large and descend to the stern section in 105 feet of water ...

... which was at the start of the drive, to which i said that wasn't in the deal i was just a witness. She said she wasn't aloud on the premises but it was here property, she was very reassuring and wasn't pressurising or anything. One of the worst experiences we have ever had the misfortune of having! The room "up-grade" was a room “downgrade” in our book. They gave us a limited view and two queen beds instead of one king size for a couple! We are not Lucy and Ricki Ricardo, we don't sleep in separate beds! ... This was my 2nd attempt at snorkeling and I was determined to do better despite the waves, knowing the bottom was 10' down, and tucking away the tidbit that we may see jellyfish and sharks. Doh! Key west is another paradise on earth, definitely Mexican gulf is awesome.

It was the place where Hemingway was living and wrote his books, obviously, the landscapes push the spirit to travel. Nice place but very hot during summer, very very hot (I insist).

It’s also possible here to reach a very famous checkpoint: the southerner point in USA and the closest to Cuba: 90 miles ...

... s music floating down the water....awesome. When we got into the Keys, Owen went straight to work and I took the kids to Duval St! We went to the aquarium and took a little walk around. Then, that night is was an awesome time with Covenant Word Church! Owen did a men's breakfast, Saturday while I swam with the kids and than that afternoon we played with the kids and I taught at a Ladies meeting! ... West for 18 years, moved away (to somewhere he considered cold-Tennessee-I think), then has been back for about 12 years. I ask him about the heat and humidity, considering he was raised in Las Vegas. He tells me that the first summer he was in Key West, working as a roofer, he suffered a heat stroke. He figured he'd be OK because it wasn't as hot as he was use to in Las Vegas. He never realized what the humidity did. He says he's gotten use to it now. That was my day at the End of the NEW World!

... was to come right near the end of our drive back to Homestead. We saw quite a bit of heat/sheet lightning in the sky, but didn't want to put the top up until I suddenly could smell the rain, before even feeling it! We got the top up just in time, as a huge storm blew in with torrential rain and hail. It lasted all of 10 or 15 minutes, but certainly was impressive, for the first rain we'd seen since sometime last year in California!
