... a lovely French family. It was amazing seeing all the houses that were literally 6 feet from the river, many with their own jetty and boat (all in various states of disrepair haha). night was Boo's birthday, so despite the bass, we obviously didn't have
much trouble sleeping that night after some (bushels of) beer and

Later on, my flu was in full swing so I only attended the friendship night till 9.40, it was very colourful and busy and crowded , around a hotel pool. Lots of cultural dancing and music and fashion . 3-5-14 I had a lie in to try to reduce my flu effects, and caught a taxi to conf at 11 am. ... it was closed for renovation! Not what we wanted in
this heat. So we headed back to the Waterfront at Kampung Boyan where we
found Mira Cake Shop. Obviously this particular cake shop is the best around; it
was packed. Everyone leaving had boxes of cakes and were heading off into the
village or across the river; quite a few young lads (not sure whether these cakes are used as gifts).

This evening we headed back into Old China Town; we had spotted somewhere to eat earlier. When we got there it was heaving; full of Australian students on some sort of tour. We found a
table and ordered. John had Seafood Nasi Goreng (all Nasi Goreng comes with
chicken wings and chicken satay) with a side order of curry vegetables. I had
