    ... raise eyebrows at our 9-person Supreme Court today: back then, the smallest was 201, but the average was around 500. There were water clocks to keep people from talking too long, and all juries had to be complete by the end of the day. There was a completely randomized machine for choosing a completely random jury out of 6000 contestants - so, in other words, if you wanted to bribe someone, you needed to be really rich.

    Too bad modern-day politics doesn't necessarily work the same way.
