Eeek. This time tomorrow I will be boarding my flight to Amsterdam for the first leg of my journey to Shanghai. And I'm getting slightly nervous! It's now only 2 sleeps until my great adventure begins . . . a 3 week trip to China! There's a few words which describe how I feel about it, including 'I can't wait!!' and 'what was I thinking?!', though I'm mostly excited.It's come round so fast, I can't quite believe I'm getting on a plane in less than 48 hours. So we're starting this little trip tomorrow.

I guess it's only right to start a little record of all the events that follow. There are a number of reasons for this. One is so people know where we are, and also so somewhere down the line, when nostalgia strikes, I can read this back and judge my use of the English language.

... with Liverpool's stairs. Strange thing to say, but all the different types of stairs were really interesting, even the illuminated escalators were eye-catching.
