We wake Woody and he wakes up in a terrific mood. We give him a minute to wake up properly and then we head to Broadwater Park, at Woody’s request. Woody rides all around the park and has a good play at the bike track. Woody is having a ball, chatting and waving hello to everyone we pass. He is charming. When it starts to rain, we head back to the car.

Back at home Woody is bathed and fed and asks a lot of questions ...

We are officially beach bums.

... in and there is Noah asleep next to Woody’s bed hugging Big Shane, Woody’s teddy. Noah alleges that Woody insisted. Hmm?

We watch the New Girl on Iplayer and Noah and I laugh and wince and I think, snort. Noah rustles up some wine, we watch The Hangover for the squillionth time, and do not love it any less than the very first time we watched it. Brilliant.

Firstly. Happy Birthday Mothership. Hope you have a terrific day. We can't wait to celebrate with you over here!

The day starts early. Too early. Justin and Jennie and the girls stayed over and Justin wakes up happy and raring to go. I only every wake up in slow motion and take a moment to defrost so I wander around confused for bit.

... against the rocks. The pool looked inviting but we decided to follow the warning signs and not venture over in case we slipped or got hit by a wave and washed out to sea/ into the rocks. Other people made a different decision. We watched two separate sets of people head over to the pool and get hit by a big wave breaking against the rocks.
