    ... quiche..mmmm very nice....not many people seem to speak any English... But we managed.

    We stumbled across a mini supermarket ...which we bought a couple of bottles of wine and champagne..very cheap...wine about 3 euros and champagne about 6 euros and litre bottles of coke about 1 euro ( we pay $2.50 on ship for can of coke)... So the backpack was full on return to ship. They seem to not worry about all the alcohol that everyone brings ...

    ... Aperol Spritz, which Susman and I have both become quite taken with. 50ml Aperol, splash of champagne, top up with soda water. Get on them! From there we went next door for some great pizzas and share plates, the only rosé I can honestly say I have ever liked, and little limonchello to finish.     ... 232; came to meet us and we sipped cocktails, played in the water and sun bathed the afternoon away. That evening we enjoyed kebabs on the beach as we watched the sun set on our last night in Cannes. That night I fell asleep early, with the knowledge of a four am wake up call on my mind.     ... starts walking from the other end of the platform towards us and starts smiling at me from about 10m out. oooh I thought an admirer, then she asked a light for her smoke, shamed, then as she was leaving she turned to Mag and said "you are very beautiful", double shamed! Bit of a walk to the hotel and unfortunately this room is more what I am used to. The beds are almost touching with no room to separate them, poor old Mag dosnt look ...

The beaches although split between public and private areas (something you will see on the Côte D’Azur), I felt that the Cannes beaches had more space for people to hang out.
