      ... and saw the infamous Mannekin Pis. It cracks me up how much pride Belgium has for that little statue. It is a little boy peeing. They dress it up in different costumes periodically and have a museum dedicated to him and those costumes. It is on every souvenir that you could possibly want to buy and you can purchase your own version to put in your yard. Really quite comical.       7am breakfast for an 8am bus departure to Ypres. Before going into Ypres we visited Hill 60, site of the covert tunneling activities of WW1, now made famous by the movie. It's a natural, undulating site in much the same condition as it was 100 years ago, except for the regrowth of trees and some undergrowth. Apart from a couple of information boards at the entrance, there is no signage or improvement on the site, so you get a better feel ...

      ... 10. It was scrum. We met some Americans and an English also traveling. On of the Americans was bike riding from Berlin to somewhere in Spain. Then helping out on a yacht where he will then arrive in Canada, and then travel back home.


      Anyway.. Way too many 11.3% beers for the two of us whom is about to travel to the next city tomorrow. GERMANY HERE WE COME.

      7. Most importantly- drink really, really good beer (thought of you, Lee!)

      Since we completed all our tasks, we are now cleared to go to London. We leave on the high speed Eurostar train in the morning, traveling under the English Channel in the "Chunnel."
