So many people, so many tents, so much attention to detail with everything they had up on display, big light show and great music coming from their stage. Belgium, is of course home to Belgium beer which we had to try a few of. Instead of paying through the nose at the cafes, we grabbed some from the supermarket and enjoyed them in our hotel room while looking out over the buildings of the Grand Place. I also found Twiglets!! (a UK snack that I loved when we lived there).

... to all - buy a book in London before you leave for the continent. You won't find one in a hurry in Paris, and certainly not Brussels. Although I eventually did at a larger gare (train station) but at 1.5 price of the RRP on the back!

... seemed like every corner you turned, there was more music, more dancing and more drinking going on. The atmosphere was so contagious, you couldn’t help but just smile as you pushed along the crowds. When we got to Grand Place, we found a Bier Museum that looked interesting. It had a mock 1800’s brewing room set up and a modern brewing room and at the end of the tour, you got a beer. It was probably the best beer that Jer and I have had so far on ...
