    ... a coffee machine that looked fancy but I did not use. I really enjoy the yogurt that is part of the breakfast. I had it at the last two hotels as well with a variety of fruits to put on it. Here there were apricot halves that seemed to be soaked in honey. Delicious! I had a large breakfast so I would not need much lunch.

    ... Arts, where Hans was our reluctant guide. (He had been there a few days earlier and they were not able to provide us with a guide.) He did a fine job. The museum is not huge, but has some very fine Flemish paintings, including Bruegel pere et fils, and also several Rubens.     7am breakfast for an 8am bus departure to Ypres. Before going into Ypres we visited Hill 60, site of the covert tunneling activities of WW1, now made famous by the movie. It's a natural, undulating site in much the same condition as it was 100 years ago, except for the regrowth of trees and some undergrowth.
