... walked out as soon as we saw it was filled with students & didn't have a proper place to sit. The music was mind throbbing, not something me & my companion preferred to do on the first night in the city. So we opted for an Asian restaurant, in a street filled with Chinese restaurateurs. The lane we went to, across town hall was filled with food & shopping and each one had a unique proposition to lure customers in o the restaurant with their sales guys waiting ...

... unloaded onto a bus to take us to the terminal (come on, people--I'm sleep-deprived!), we are unceremoniously dumped off in the airport. Trying to figure out which of the two terminals our flight to Florence would depart from seemed easy on paper. Not so much in reality, since the gates are not posted until less than an hour before departure. We had no idea where to go, other than Terminal A--which has gates on three levels. On the way into the city I noticed how big the European HQ was, I was like jaysus that's ...

... police and figured they were staying in the hotel and all these girls were waiting to see them. It was like a mad house trying to walk through them so I gave up and went back to the first waffle place I saw. I don't know if the guys ever came out the front door or not, but I'm sure it was a treat to these screaming girls if they did!

So Brussels has enough to offer for one day or maybe more if you like museums or just wandering city streets. I don't feel ...

... t understand them that well. There was a lot of people telling us where the flag is from..pretty sure none of them were right!
Our bust back to town leaves at 1am and the last act finishes at 1am so we had to leave early to make sure we didn't miss our ride back which was a bit dumb but sure beats a minimum 100 euro cab ride. The shuttle buses were crazy busy so we decided to walk the 20mins. Got on the first bus, waited til it was full then off ...
