Our first main day of activities incorporated visiting the Grand Palace and completing the Escape Hunt Challenge: a worldwide company where you are given a particular crime to solve using the clues and hints given.     Scott and I arrived in Ko Samui yesterday morning (31st July). We are staying at Samui beach resort which is lovely. Considering we paid no more than £15 a night for this hotel, it is on the beach front with private sunbeds, a swimming pool and nice clean bungalows with wifi that occasionally works.     ... of our own traditional Scottish music, accompanied by tartan table cloths,we felt very at home. Breakfast was a choice of sandwiches and chips. Sandwiches were fine, but chips were cold and minging. Having always found Thai people very friendly I was surprised that the train staff were so grumpy with us.     ... which gave me a minor panic attack but alas I survived the day. Swimming there was absolutely beautiful because the views under the water were just as pretty as the views above it.
