Today, we woke up in Colorado, and went to bed in Utah. We also made up some of the time we lost yesterday. Stops have included Denver, Fraser-Winter Park, Glenwood Springs (Aspen), Grand Junction, and Salt Lake City, which was our last stop before midnight. Grand Junction had a store, called 'Dave's Depot', which sold things not available on the train. They also sold souvenirs from Colorado. I went for a peek, though as ...

The next town we came to was Carlin and there above the town a ‘C’ in the hillside. We looked at each other and ...

... snowing again on Monday morning, but I really wanted us to get our bodies moving as we'd be sitting all day in the car the next day for the drive to the Grand Canyon, so we walked to Main Street to see this really cool Lego exhibit and to have lunch. I can't remember the name of the artist who does the sculptures out of Legos, but we showed up the day that they were taking the exhibit down! Luckily they hadn't actually taken any ...

      A Day of Driving

A travel blog entry by tchester on Jul 19, 2012

We slept a little later today before heading on the road. We drove until lunchtime where we stopped The California Trail Interpretive Center that was part of the Westward Expansion. We ate lunch and looked through the museum before driving again. We drove all the way to ...
