... that is important to see. Driving there and back on the main highway took us through extensive pineapple plantations and some sugar cane fields. The soil was a rich red colour. Behind all this was the mountain backbone.
We arrived back at 6pm and wandered across the road to go for a swim, using towels provided by the hotel. (We could have also used their plastic rings or lilos!) Whilst there, there was a Hawaiian show on the grass. It seemed to be the same place that I had ...

When we woke up, it was cloudy and rainy, and we were worried ...

After that it was back for packing and a yummy Thai dinner. Early start tomorrow, off to New York.

... custard, spaghetti, eggs etc, and other crew members had to ‘walk the plank’ by getting pushed or jumping into the pool. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Theo and his older sister and parents emigrated by ship from The Netherlands when he was a young child, so he has already crossed the equator, even though he can’t remember if there was any ceremony on the ship, so I guess he was already a Shellback and didn’t even know it.

    We took ...
