Today began a new adventure for me....I left Pensacola this morning and am currently at the Atlanta airport waiting for my flight to Washington DC. From DC I'll go to London, then after a 13 hr layover I'll head to Johannesburg and finally I take a small flight to Gaborone, my final destination. At the University of Botswana, I'll be studying public health with my classes focusing on the issues in Botswana and I'll also be taking a ...

I-10 was a pretty boring drive. Lots & lots of trees. Reminds me of childhood trips to Florida with my mom. There was a lot of haze too. It stretched for over 50 miles. We had never seen anything like that. As we got closer to Jacksonville, the drive seemed to pass by quickly. It is an amazingly easy drive ...

... the mad dash to the Shore Excursion Desk!!!

Ok, the reason for us to get to the boat super early is because we booked a private wooden cabana at Half Moon Cay. There are 15 cabanas (cost = $200 for the day) and you can only pick the one you want once onboard. We knew we wanted #15. The last cabana in the row and the farthest from the ship & crowds. This is mine & Mike's last "couples" cruise for a very long time & we planned on making the most of it! So, we ...
