Throughout the week since our arrival in LA we had been trying to contact Dave's dear friends who he had stayed with last time he was in the US - David and Lois Tingler. Today was the first day that Steven was going to be at work through the day. So it became the day for a little bit of site seeing, and a lot of browsing of shops. So there's not really a lot to say!!!!!
It was hot again - 35C so everything was done at a super slow pace.

I explored all around the canals. I haven't yet looked up the history of the canals so I don't know why they exist or what the source of the water is.
