Today it became official. ... the morning. We spent the next couple of days enjoying my cousin's company, playing on the beach, eating and sleeping... It's a rough life. He was telling me about his women troubles, his political stance, even paid for my dinner so that was pretty cool - now I just have a few hours to waste till my bus - not a bad little stay in Sao Luis all in all - hopefully there will be more tourists in Belem but according to a Swiss Girl - not much better :-( Just a 12 hour bus journey to look forward too for now then :-( :-(

Sao Luis. What an amazing place. I don't have a clue why Sao Luis received such a bad rep in the majority of the travel-blogs that I read. This place has so much to offer a traveler. All of the old buildings date back to the 1600s. Everywhere you go you can find small cultural and historical museums (Most are free). Putted around, stopped to swim and chill, the putted around some more. Next day was more worthwhile, going out to Praia Gunga. First stopped at Praia Frances (nice) and Barra do São Miguel (nice) before Praia Gunga (totally sweet). Like a peninsula of all sandy beach.
