    Well, today I'm off. Has been a long time getting to this point and although I'm nervous, I'm really looking forward to this trip. I can't believe I'm actually doing it.

    See? Dreams to come true. A looong 14 hour flight to Dubai leaving at 9pm tonight and then a wee lay over in Dubai before a 9 hour to Glasgow. I have plenty of reading material packed and my Nicorette gum ...

    ... good food and now nice on arrival to be greeted with a g'day mate by welcoming, informal Customs Officers doing a pre-check on food and agricultural products.     ... it wouldn’t be the last of Surfer’s Paradise we would see on this trip. The journey back was very long and we were endlessly tired when we finally got back to the house after a number of bus and train journeys. The day had been worth it though for it had been lovely weather and the sea air that filled our lungs did us a world of good.
