... wore on, it got warmer and warmer. I enjoyed sitting there enjoying the river and the scenery and the peacefulness of it all. We ended up with 4 fish, Don caught 3 and I caught one. Yesterday, I caught 2, but we released them.

I like spending my birthday doing something of an outdoors nature, such as hiking 6 miles last year and biking 20 miles the year before that.
This year we are doing a camping/fishing trip. Today, we got up and got fishing gear ready and walked down to the river off of the campsite next to ours. It was a bit tight for fishing, but I did catch a fish there.
We ended up at Parker Bottoms and fished a bit. It was pretty slow, but Don and I ...
... had a good visit with her before going out to the house for "real" showers and picking up the mail.
Back in camp, we find they are releasing water from the dam and the water is high once more, so no fishing this evening. Maybe in the morning before going into Eureka for the afternoon.

First we drove to Parker Bottoms camping area. No one fishing here. We also checked out camping there. They do have some sites with river views which would be nice.
After we drive to PB we drove up to the lake overlook to view the lake and river.

We bought a small dorm size refrigerator for the camper so we will try that out this trip.
We are also trying a new camp site in a different area in the river side of dam site camping.
Also, with all the rain we have had, they are releasing water from the dam so the white River is very high--so no fishing. We expected that. Just a nice outing (not sure what we will do, hike, road trip, ...
