... part of Istanbul. We got off at Taksim Square and had coffee and a sandwich and then carried on walking. We couldn't find another red bus stop so ended up walking across the Bosphorus on one of the bridges which has a walkway across, and back to our hotel. We walked through yet another Bazaar - this time the Spice Bazaar with all kinds of spices including saffron being offered for sale. I don't know how any kilometres we have walked today but it's a lot! Got to be good for us.

With luck, the lab would have the crowns ready 3 days later. After getting ...

As we walked, I began to think … you know what would be clever: why not, for tourists, place small amounts of spices into separate plastic bags, and sell a basket or collection of them. I would buy one. But as much as I looked, I could not find something like this anywhere. And then I spotted just what I had in mind – and ...

... bathing room. Always up for new emprises, especially when recommended by a local not employed by the tourism industry, we were scheduled for another Turkish bath go-at-it the next evening.

Our next visit again began similarly, with slippery wooden sandals and all (why Adidas hasn't created a proper shower sandal market here, I'll never know). However, in this hamam we were placed nude in the same bathing room, alone, to pre-bathe and relax. ...
