    We passed by a museum that used to be a Mawlawi house. The historical site was pretty interesting. I had to be sneaky with my phone since the guards were keeping an eye on visitors to make sure they were not taking pictures. There was a small area where 8 stray cats were just napping on the pavement.

    ... to get a three way Skype with Lachie and Tiana, then we said our goodbyes to the amazing hostel staff and walked down to the city centre where the airport shuttle bus ran from. The bus to the airport was ridiculously hot, and Darren even changed into his shorts on the bus! When we arrived, we went to one of the tourist information desks, where they were nice enough to let us use the printer to print out our visas, which I had forgotten to do, then after trying (and failing) ...

    ... of the city on the way to the airport and returned to warm sunny Denmark (ha). Even though we only got to spend a few days in Istanbul it was one of my favorite trips. It was so unlike any city I have ever been to. It really was the epitome of the bridge between Asia and Europe and astounded me with its blend of all different types of cultures and religions.
