Our last day in Istanbul was a tick list We needed to eat gozlemes and drink Turkish coffee (and drink a few more Efes beers which were a really good drop - get on board if they sell them in aus) and see the topikapi palace. We breezed through that list easily and left on our overnight bus to thessaloniki - in northern Greece. We woke up early this morning so we could see the passage through the Dardanelles straight. It was a beautiful clear crisp morning as we sailed by the town of Gallipoli. We did not pass Anzac Cove as it is on the other side of the Gallipoli peninsula. This was an amazing day. Started out with our happy face fried egg as usual...... Met the Batrouni families ( Ziad's brother and family are also visiting Istanbul with their three boys) at the Ferry dock on the Bosphorus. We loaded onto the Ferry for a full day ride north up the Bosphorus. Plenty of seating on top decks and inside as we made ferry stops along the way on the Europe side and the Asia side of Turkey.
