I looked through my wallet for some bus money and was about to throw my last ticket out, when I happened to read it, and realized that we could still travel on this ticket until 1.30! It was only 12.30, so we stood at the bus stop and in 5 mins time a bus came and took us to the market for free! ...

After being whipped around for a couple of minutes we headed back to the lockers, collected our things and got ready to leave. Bye Wet n Wild! Max went for a swim after his game and just said it was so refreshing swimming through the waves. It was another one of those moments when you realise where you are and what a great adventure your ...

... designed to provide a good habitat for glow worms, and was almost pitch black inside. I learnt that glow worms are not actually worms - they are insect larvae. And they are only found in Australia and New Zealand. I was pleased to be able to recall the ATP/Luciferin/Luciferase reaction that produces their light from my lab days. We were not allowed to take pictures unfortunately, as they can be damaged by too much light. The scene looked like a starry night - with the aim of the ...

... it had been a long time since he'd seen surfable waves. We went nuts visiting the theme parks - Seaworld, Movieworld, Dreamworld and Whitewater World. Kyla had an awesome time but was absolutely buggered by the end of our 3 days of parks. She has turned into a bit of a daredevil going on some fairly big and scary rides - the Wild West one at Movieworld being her most impressive effort. She was a big wuss though, when it come to seeing the people dressed up as ...
