... and Olivia were staying. She would then push the button and ride the elevator to their floor. I am usually a stairs person, but I definitely got my elevator workout on this trip.

We had planned to leave the same day on the same flight as Ray and Olivia, but we noticed the day before that it had become oversold by several seats. We arranged with the resort to stay in our suite one more night and decided to take the flight to Phoenix the next day.

There is a long Melicon (beachfront walkway) in Mazatlan. It runs from near our hotel in old town for 6 km north to Zona Dorada where the bulk of the tourist beaches and hotels are. It is also where the new part of town has sprawled. A newish hospital, Sam’s Club, McDonald’s and an indoor shopping mall comparable to the good ones in the USA are located there.
