Chester
On Friday we had a thrilling time going to the laundrette to do the washing and a trip to the local shops. After that we had a walk through a local park. Nice and sunny but cold.
Saturday we went to Chester. We had been there last time but this time had a long walk along the river and then onto the wall. Saw a boat going through the locks onto the canal. The man was controlling the ...
Ellesmere
Back down the motorway on Thursday to Ellesmere Port where the Waterways museum is. I guess you have to like boats, especially narrow boats, to enjoy a day out here. Just like yeaterday the weather was kind n the morning, but by 3.30 it was getting dark and cold.
still, we had a good look around the museum and spent about three hours there. Lots of things to see and in summer there are boat trips up the canal.
A good day out.

We get around...

Saturday we went to the Anderton Boat Lift, which was only open because they are running Santa Specials boat trips, which we went on. We had a sing along with Santa and his wife and one of his Elves, three kids and their Grandparents. Had a ...
Walled City
Drove from Llandudno to Chester one of the best examples left of a Roman fortified city. We walked around the upper part of the original wall and stood on the look out for the main gates over the original bridge into Chester, it has a weir running beneath it and was very picturesque . Followed the wall to other gates and features including a Roman garden beside the wall, there was a young children's ...
