We spent a day and a night on anchor in this wonderful place. Awaroa joined us, they had been cruising around Ibiza and met up with us here so we could cruise in convoy to Gibraltar.

As we all settled in to some sundown drinks a drama unfolded not far from us and we watched, as every boat in the anchorage did, a boat sink. It had clipped a rock at the entrance to the anchorage ...

... impressing the locals with his bike skills by going over the handle bars. Little bruised and bloody but recovered well!

7. Highlight, to the girls...buying little bikini's. Their suits fell apart, now they almost fit in with the locals!

Next is Barcelona for 5 days! We aren't allowed any extra sort of purse, man-satchel, camera-bag or anything on this next flight...just our carry-on packs! Time to ...

... with child! No matter, it was a great night and we soaked up the atmosphere. It is true though, all drinks-beer or water- cost $15 US each!!!! Needless to say, we didn't drink much that night. I guess cyborg metal dancers, flying acrobats and water light shows cost more these days.

All and all it was a wonderful week full of adventure and family time here in Ibiza. ...

... back to the airport was a lot easier and it was smooth sailing to Ibiza.
The island is actually nothing like I expected but in saying that I have to be honest and say I'm not really sure what I expected. Now I'm not going to bore you with a minute by minute encounter of what we did because that would be very boring for but I give you a bit of a gist.
The area we were staying in was Playa d'en Bossa, which was a really good location ...

... some cheap alcohol to pre-drink, as we had heard drinks in the clubs was very expensive. We were surprised to find it so cheap, and also some 90% Absinthe. We headed out to a nearby bar as we got sucked into a free shot (which we had to first buy a drink each to receive) and walked down to Space, a decent sized night club in Ibiza. Some weird dancers in this night club in cages, not sure what the theme was but was nothing like I’d seen in Australia.
