Today was our day to plan for Pete and Ailsa. We opted for a variation of our previous visit, although shortened as we had less time ashore this trip.

A recap. The island is basically the outside edge of a previously cone shaped volcanic island. When the volcano blew in 1600BC the middle of the island disappeared so deep that ships can't even drop anchor in the Caldera (the middle lagoon). ... to see here… thus the feeding of the fish to give you something to look at. These were little fish, black and boring compared to our snorkelling trip in St. Maarten earlier this year where I had a personal face to face conversation with a sea turtle! (Thank you Matthew!!) ... I could swim with Leesh and made our way back to the hotel in the heat.

We sat back and had lunch before deciding to head back down early afternoon for another swim and I joined Leesh for a quick swim as she then progressed to do a few more laps of the course she devised between the two restaurants who had umbrellas on the beach (around 80m or so) as I got my oxygen back on the beach. ... And a very comfortable temperature, warmer than Perth water, but not "warm". It was one of the nicest swims I've ever had.

That had to end eventually, and it didn't matter when that was going to be, it would have been too soon.
