This was the first sit down restaurant we've been to in Greece that had quick service and brought out food within less than 10 minutes. ... throughout this trip that "home" is where Tye and I are together. I will say that I was surpringly sad about leaving our Santorini "home " because of the connections that were made with the family there, particularly Mary, a 27 year-old woman wise beyond her years and for whom I wish a wonderful life. There's a photo of us with Mary and George, brother-in law of the owner, another George. Both Georges were great, too.

... balcony over looking the countryside, taking in our morning sun. We had decided to walk from Fira to Oia rather than take the bus since it's considered one of the must-dos. It's about 10ks and you walk through Fira, along the cliffs through some more villages and then down the hill into Oia, which is apparently the must be place for the sunset, a couple of hours later.
