Santorini is a stunning destination in the Cyclades. We were here from 19-22 May, arriving Tuesday and leaving late morning Friday. It's well known and well-visited, as we learned during our stay. It's also known for its sunsets but these were an anticlimactic no-show during our three nights here. Stuff happens. Or doesn't.

... This is because they have little rain but fairly high humidity. Keeping the vines close to the ground increases the humidity around the base of the plant and so provides moisture. We also had some very nice meals! Pureeing a vegetable and serving it as a base for the food seems very popular - each of our 3 dinners was served that way.
Santorini was very different and very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief visit!
