... We spoke at length to a couple from Florida USA, Hannie and Zsolt who gave us a lot of information about South America, as Zsolt was brought up in Argentina. Hannie wrote down many of the places we should see, including some in Bolivia. This is so helpful for we travelers, to get information from other travelers, it gives is something to aim for, as destination in a country.
Anyway, back to Tres Bocar. It was such a ...
... able to lie down were dashed, and headed for one of the empty pairs of window seats still available. Which left me with the entire row to myself. Of course, every silver lining has its cloud, and this time that cloud was a fetid methane one emitted by the fat **** sitting in front of me. He must have been a cow in disguise, because the amount of gas he put out could have powered the plane had we run low on fuel. Even blasting the ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina crashdot... right) and aparently every hour a life sized jesus comes out of a mountain at the back of the place. Just sounds seriously weird but should be a laugh. Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina joecatriona... to the main artists area, thankfully a young policia steered me right where Lonely Planet steered me wrong, away from the really bad part, into the cool part. Wandered for a bit and just as I started to make my way out I came across an amazing outdoor tango revue with a live band. They ran through a variety of dances, solo, with couples, some audience participation (knocking a 1/4 cigarette out of someone´s mouth with a whipping around ball on a string). Had a slightly ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina danbdan... I did few things. A visit of the city and then a tour on the Tigre river, next to Buenos Aires, and the next day a walk in town to see the Jardín Japonés and the Eva Peron museum. The visit and tour were lousy, and to top everything off there was such a traffic jam in Buenos Aires that in the end we went off the stuck minibus and came back to the hostel by subway. The Jardín Japonés was much nicer, a peaceful little heaven in the middle of the muck up of Buenos Aires, I ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina terredeshommes... it all off, we discovered with that meal (and since) that Buenos Aires has the best chips ever - no joke!!!! We´ve been so healthy since we got here, eh? Aside from eat, we also took in another few BA pastimes. We strolled round Dorrego Square market (full of interesting art, antiques, crafts and jewellery). Also, on Valentine´s Day we decided to spend the day in Palermo, a leafy district of BA full of parks, as well as lots of wee boutiques and nice ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina briandlorraine... it. about 24 hours before her flight. good job oviajes travel, you *******s. we didn't get up to much craziness, other than spend a goodly amount of time walking about, drinking wine, and eating nice food. not such a bad way to end it really is it? We are both looking forward to seeing our friends in the coming weeks, farewell until then from two monkeys.
Buenos Aires, Argentina 2monkeys... into a flat on about the 10th floor of an apartment block. Now you would expect them to move furniture through the door, right? Wrong! A man made winch was being used to hoist the sofa up the outside of the building and then feed the sofa through to the apartment. How crazy!! It got the job done though I guess! In Recoleta there is also the cemetary here where Evita is buried and so we went to go and see her tomb. The cemetary is totally different to an English one because the ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina edandali... a pair of comfortable rubber sole shoes for the day and night, and an alternate pair for tango dancing. For tango dancing, we could have worn comfortable shoes and changed into the dance shoes just for the lesson. It would have been a whole lot more comfortable! · I carried our stuff in a shoulder bag with a secure strap and compartments made by Daymakers (http://www.daymakers.com). I was advised on TripAdvisor ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina journeyer... s stadium is know as the "Bonbonero", or "chocolate box", mainly due to it's rectangular shape and bright colours!
I was just hoping that I'd be able to enjoy some delicious football ;)
We weren't sure what to expect when we arrived but it was fairly quiet around the stadium, mainly because there were so few ...
