      Disappointed in Edgewater Golf Villa

      from

The room was run down, the floors were filthy, the dishes in the cabinets had to be re-washed because they had a greasy film and dirt on them, the shower heads leaked big time, the only skillet was so old that food still stuck on it even when scrubbed, the curtains in the living room were broken, the locks on the bedrooms were broken, and there were barely enough utensils to make do. For $316 a night, we expected alot more. I informed the staff at the Panama City beach Rentals and was told "I'll tell housekeeping." I'll never stay there again!! We love going to the PCB area, but we'll stay somewhere else for sure.

Our family stayed at the Edgewater. We liked all it had to offer, but felt a bit like the poor relative... We stayed on the golf course side and the towers are on the other side of the highway. They have access to the big lagoon pool they advertise, but we did not. There was a bulletin in our room that stated the pool for our use was the small one by our room. And the restaurants are on the tower side as well...Also they do not advertise a one time $20 cleaning fee and that anything you want to do, you have to pay extra for. Even the chairs on the beach are rented. Drinks are high. But service was very good. Clean room, although it was not new-looking. Kitchens are stocked to the hilt and there are plenty of towels. We stayed in a one bedroom 2 bath. king bed, pull out couch. Would sleep 4 people fine...frogs croaking all night in ponds.

      Best beach spot

my family and i stay here 4 times yearly and have done so for the past 11 years. we would not stay anywhere else. edgewater offers the best of everything. we always get a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom deluxe in tower 1. everyone shuold stay here!

      Very nice.

      from

Very nice resort. Great condo tower at hotel rates. Awesome views of beach and pools. Amenities great - full kitchen, w/ washer & dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave. Live music poolside during two days stayed. Beach lounger rental fees (high). Phone surcharges for local calls. Was overcharged for meal and wrong item delivered. Waitress encouraged tip for a beverage-only ticket, after telling her we just wanted drinks. Off-property shopping, grocery, and food nearby. Located on the strip, some adjacent construction areas during town's renovation. Seagulls and pelicans by the dozens, along sugar white beach and emerald coastline of Gulf of Mexico.

      Very Nice

      from

I have stayed here and I have to say that it is very nice. The rooms are very well maintained and they are not at all abused. It is a very upscale place to stay. The only problem is the price. But I guess the old saying is yu get what you pay for.

The only place to stay in PCB

      from

My family and I have spent every 4th of July at Edgewater for as long as I can remember. We have never had a bad experience. Their staff strive for perfection and always keep the property in pristine condition. You can be assured that each time you visit Edgewater the standard of service will never be compromised. Plus being in a gated resort provides such a sense of security that you can't help but relax and enjoy your vacation. Best of all Edgewater is in the prime location for enjoying all the activities the area has to offer for both adults and children alike. We take full advantage of being able to walk to most of our favorite destinations. I have and will continue to recommend Edgewater to anyone planning to visit the Florida panhandle area as my family and I will continue to enjoy it for ourselves each year.

      Best resort to stay

      from

We stayed at the Edgewater in May 2002 and it was the best vacation we've ever had. We stayed in a 1br/2ba condo. It was very spacious, and had a dining/living room washer/dryer and full kitchen w/all amenities. The pool was absolutely amazing. The staff were very friendly, and they have security around the entire area so it feels very safe. There is a fitness center, a couple restaurants and gift shop. We would go back again!! I would definitely recommend this resort!!!

Panama City Beach is my second home

      from

I've been going to Panama City Beach for 30+ years. This is by far the best place to stay. It is kind of pricey, but the golf villa's across the street are not that expensive and you can catch a shuttle or walk across the crosswalk to the beach. The pool is great and huge.

... all the hustle and bustle of the closeness for the Naples area. I like it a lot but Bitsy prefers parks that are closer to shopping, ie restaurants, grocery and liquor stores. I say BS to Bits! The last photos are from Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, FL. We're here too early this year, it's too cool for my liking and if I get my way we won't get here until late March or early April next year, God ...

The author and her husband give up jobs and busy lifestyles, buy a boat and travel from Toronto Canada all the way to Grenada and then back in two years.
