Phil found a photo of the ship it will be going on. Will try to post that on blog along with more details soon, but it looks like ship will leave Baltimore 11/10 and arrive in Southampton England on the day after Thanksgiving. Getting excited! It's finally getting close!
We received our booking confirmation this weekend for shipping our rig overseas!
We'll deliver our rig to the port in Baltimore this week. It ships out November 10th on the California Highway (pictured below), and arrives in Southampton on the 28th. We'll fly out to meet it some time ...
We spent Friday morning getting some work done and preparing to go camping. As we were driving to the campsite we stopped at an asian supermarket and picked up some nice inexpensive goodies like ramen noodles, bok choy, cabbage and Pork Buns. We drove to a campsite about an hour north west in Hopatcong NJ. It was a really small place but for 20$ we got water and electricity, clean hot showers and a some great walking trails. We were in black bear ...
... our shipping company as to when they can ship our RV and vehicle to Europe. Once we get a date from them, we can book our air travel.
In the meantime, we are catching up on a lot of homeschooling as most everyone is off to work during the day. Discovered that my kids love practicing cursive writing, math worksheets and word problems. It's nice to have access to a printer. :-)
... I can do my 6 times-tables in under 90 seconds, can I get in the hot tub? " "No." Finally we get to Spanish. We are doing Piemsleur CDs, which are all verbal. Genevieve: "Hey, Mom, what if we bring Dad's computer outside and listen to it in the hot tub?" It's kind of hard to argue with logic like that. Especially when it's in the 60's, sunny and surrounded by tall pine trees. If we can hold the splashing down, I may find a way to do Texas History in the hot tub too. :-) ...
