... on to Wakefield a further 2 hours on where we found an overnight camping place on the Sunday Lake. It was a really sweet place with power for hook ups and water taps. It was just before 11 before we were finally ready to call it a in night along with 4 other vehicles already parked there. Today we drove just over 1200kms even with a boarder ...

Fourth stop - Sable Falls, also very beautiful.

Fifth stop - Miner's castle -my favorite stop. Overlook at the painted rocks cove. Gorgeous also.

    Approx. 400 miles ...

No wait a minute, it should be The Deer Jumped Over The Mini. Yes, a deer jumped over the Mini as we were skidding down the highway. Thank you St. Christopher! ... deer, pristine woods, peace. Untouched by man, no man made structure anywhere from lookout to Lake of the Clouds. Park road took us next to Lake Superior shoreline, got out of the car-really pretty-calm and clear, clean water. Both surprised that each time we saw Superior it was as calm as a mill pond (unlike Lake Michigan which was windy most all the time).

... about an hour, and I was soaked. But as they say, you can only get so wet, so I rode another hour or so before stopping for breakfast. I soaked the chair and floor around me in the restaurant. It was a relatively short ride to the center from there, and I arrived here at 3pm. So here I sit, having taken over the entire bunkhouse by spreading my belongings all over the place to dry, leaving little room to walk. Somewhere on Moose lake road WI > Manitowish WI, 80 miles, day ...
