... de glaciers zijn echt immens groot en Lake Matheson levert echt zulke pitoreske foto’s op dat ze bijna in elke reisgids te vinden zijn.

Daarna was het al weer tijd om onze weg langzaamaan richting Christchurch te maken. Dit hebben we gedaan via Arthurs Pass, een magnefieke route, dwars door een prachtig gebergte, waar we onze hikingschoenen voor de laatste keer hebben aangetrokken op de Bealy Spur Track.

Myself, lucy and julia went in the next day which was christmas eve, we were greeted by a huge mess, a whole shelving unit had fallen down which thankfully 4 cyclist helped lift back up as they were passing by. We tidied all the broken glass within about 3 hours so people could finish off some of their christmas shopping.
