Before leaving Dunedin we completed the challenge of climbing Baldwin Street, the worlds steepest street. The street is over 300 metres long and has a gradient of 35%. It's pretty steep! We headed up the east coast towards Oamaru where we hoped we'd see a load of penguins coming back from a day at the sea. But there was another point of interest we stopped at before we reached there: Moeraki boulders. These are loads of large, round boulders on the beach of Moeraki ...

... The Museum is located in the gardens and we spent the next 3 or more hours studying the exhibits, everything from the history of T-shirts to Antactica, birds, Maori culture and more. Came out very hungry after digesting so much information. Marl walked us miles to a cafe she remembered from a couple of years ago but it was worth it for the best coffee yet and the yummy lunch. It was in a restored forge and garage and is run by a co-op. ...
