    ... on a boat ride through the canals searching for a place to have dinner. Something that was a must-do was an elevator ride and lookout at the Burj Khalifa. The cars were little dots on the ground and other tall buildings were small by comparison. Another thing that was a great experience was four wheel driving in the desert.     ... just after 3! We got in the 4 wheel drive vehicle with 2 other couples and the sullen driver. 30 minutes later we stopped at a shop out on the highway. About 20 other vehicles were also there and the shop was packed. We each had an icecream inside before our grumpy driver indicated he was returning to the vehicle.     ... world's largest mall. The pattern must be emerging by now. Everything in Dubai is bigger, better, larger or taller than competition elsewhere. It really is quite a place.

  • We finished off our visit to Dubai with a trip to the "Miracle" gardens - yet another display of talent and hard work. How they manage to keep this vast display of flowers in such good nic in such shot climate is beyond us.
