... were more romantic than dodgy. We knocked on a few Pansyion doors with no response (it was nearly 8:30pm at this point) to no avail - perhaps they were closed or full. We found our place shortly and the pleasant welcome from our host couple fueled the affection blooming in us for this experience, in this place, in this country.

... the final turn onto the dusty track at the side of the dry river bed that leads to my house, walk along the narrow entrance path, around the corner, and there it is under the shade of a huge grape vine with my dear friend Tam waiting on the terrace to greet me. My eyes dart everywhere, after 18 months absence, everything seems new, yet familiar too, and so, so lovely :)) .

... off all three bottles (Ayşegül doesn't drink because of religious reasons and she also had to run home at midnight). They danced and we all laughed and played music for quite a long time. When Selin and Ozberk finally joined us it was quite late. We'd turned out all the lights, so that we were lit only by the moonlight (we were on the porch) and the cigarettes they lit every now and then. After nodding off for about an hour, I finally went upstairs to bed at 4am.

When we docked, we all got back in the bus and drove around for about 20 minutes until we got to our first stop, a cliff/beach along the ocean. I can't even begin to describe the colors of this water. I've not seen anything like it before! I hope my photos accurately depict how beautiful it was there!
