We left Yuma on the 30th of January and travelled through the mountains during a rainstorm. By the time we got to San Diego in the late afternoon, Stella's newly waxed exterior looked the worse for wear and the car was completely covered in a fine coating of muck. We spent the next day cleaning the vehicles and shopping for supplies.
