It was decided to take a day off from driving and use up some of out train pass that still has a few train trips on it. We originally purchased passes that provide us 10 days of train travel over a month long period. Our mathematical wizardry determined that we have some trips "in the bank". Anyway, we are off to Koln for the day.

The train left the Speyer Bahnhof at 8:02 so we were up early and a 10 minute relaxing stroll brought us to find our train to ...

... pamphlet and introduced me everyone there already. Suddenly the tour commenced and we were encourage to stay close to the tour guide leaving all the responsibility up to the individual to not get lost or lose sight of the guide, something I would consider if in a school tour would be to have a teacher at the back and not allow any student behind. The tour was beautifully set up allowing, us to ride through well-travelled paths and tracks so participants don’t need a high level of skill. This would be a very good activity for students and riders of all levels, although I’m ...

... by the river. This is the Rhine River here. We see a couple of the Viking Cruise line ships and local ships docked along the way. We stop for a light dinner and then we return back for the night.

Day 2

I think I have finally beat this thing (or at least tamed it some). I am up at 5:00 AM bright eyed and bushy tailed. Off to the shower and then I think I will go and get some early morning pictures of Koln. Now Koln is a big city with a small historical part. We ...
