    ... live a few minutes from this place. Check out the picture below. I live in the the 1st arrondissement or neighborhood of Marseille, but more specifically the neighborhood of Longchamps. Longchamps is a nicer, quieter neighborhood of Marseille and is very centrally located as the train station is only 10 minutes walk to my apartment and the university is only a 12 minutes walk from my apartment.

    ... learning to blog. We lost a couple of blogs due to finger problems.... More pictures - we are having technical difficulties in getting my (Gail's great pictures ) over so we can access them. C'est la vie. Couldn't help myself. I think we are now in the relaxed mode. It took us seven days or more days to get to this state. I pinch myself every day.     ... far to walk (never mind that a month later we would walk 30 kilometres in Paris in one day, without complaint). There was also a ferry service from our ship to the Toulon port for a twenty euros - which, again for some unknown reason, we decided was too expensive. We decided, instead, to make the most of this pretty little town and left the ship at about 9 am.

    Approximately 150 minutes later we were back on board the ship.
