    ... it worked.

    The area also has the largest Kalashnikov factory in Bulgaria (though it doesn't pay any patent royalties to the Russians). This means that Kazanluk can be called, yes, the town of Guns & Roses. Between the roses and the guns, unemployment in the area is only four percent.

    ... were here too. Most were women and they were consuming quantities of junk food despite it being so early in the day. Smoking was also common. A refreshing change was the lack of the selfie stick and selfie culture. In fact we’ve noticed that the mobile phones are not as visible here. Most of the beach consists of fine brown sand but there are patches with fine black sand (possibly ilmenite). It has reputed therapeutic benefits.

    ... Traffic there was pure chaos, but eventually, we made it out of the city.

    It was almost time to look for a place where we could get lunch. No such luck until right before Bulgarian border and even there we only stopped at a supermarket, so we don't pass out from being hungry, and kept going.

    And again, we were in a country that uses cyrillica. Time to remember everything we learned during the couple hours ...

    ... view of the sea. Mom is happy!!! However, you should have seen her face when they brought out the dinner she ordered! She thought she was getting sea bass....instead she got a bunch of little fish like anchovies, but a little bigger! She was a trooper, and picked them apart because " I don't eat heads or skin".
