The road is covered in grit and pebbles probably from the recent storms, there are some very nice looking houses along here, we passed a lady who chatted to us in Greek, we didn't understand and she didn't speak any English. Off we got to our next adventure.... And what an adventure it was on the island of Atoko... Atoko is a private owned by a Greek shipping magnate. It is the most Westerly, and remotest of all the islands. The island is composed of high cliffs, small swimming beaches, and ...

At 8.30am on the morning of the 9th August, we left Big Vathi, on Ithaka Island, but first we had to wait until the yacht next to us had left as there was a good chance that he had crossed over our anchor when he arrived the evening before. The winds were quite strong and everyone was finding it a bit tricky to moor up with such strong crosswinds. All was in fact ok, no crossed anchors.
