We drove up Mt. Olympus, first national park in Greece (1937). Incredible scenery as we ascended through the mists. Alternating pines and deciduous trees were beautiful. We had hoped to explore the Monastery of St Dionysiou but discovered it had been destroyed by German troops in WW2. ... now residing in Turkey, who had been working in Saudi for the last six years and had purchased the boat from an Arab man.

We invited them to come over for a meal and a drink in the evening, they brought sausages and wine from their vineyard, we did roast spuds on the BBQ and salad followed by fruit salad. All in all, a very good night.

We spent one more night anchored in the bay before deciding to move on to our next destination Astakos.

... to the Tour, which also goes past us. I sat at the top of the road waiting for them to pass and enjoyed the beeps and waves from the police outriders and the accompanying cavalcade.

It’s starting to cloud over now, so I will go back to some internal jobs. It will be weird here without Stefan. As soon as he gets back next Thursday, he is off to Tarragona to work on a boat again for a week, so it will be down to me to hold the fort. I wonder when the rushing around will stop? ...
