    Farewell to Fouli

A travel blog entry by arwie on Jul 16, 2014

Into Charakopio and meet Sitaris. Insists that we come to see him as he has a large pot of olive oil for us. Sadly no time before we leave (and realistically, no room in the van for more olive oil). Last dinner at Foulis, sitting outside watching the world go by. You can see some of Gill's work on facebook.com/gilltomlinsonart or wait for me to get home and unpack my ...

... houses all with shady verandahs, wisteria and orange blossom flowering everywhere. The scent in the late afternoon is quite overwhelming. The lane winds down to the bottom of a valley then sharp up the other side on rutted concrete. Past a dead olive tree stump as directed and we are there, Gargarou Retreat. A warm welcome from our landlords, Pete and Rachael then up to the top of their olive grove to our long awaited Villa Sage. ...
