... the artist haunt of Soller, and back to Palma. We hoped for entrance to the famous cathedral, but alas, our timing was off. Still we enjoyed the exterior and the medina of old Palma, including a visit to the 1200 ruins of Arab baths from Moorish times.

The island is uninhabited, except for thousands of small lizards, who were very welcoming! It was lots of fun trying to help John get over his fears, and it was useful to have our own "dragon-handler" (Andrea) on hand. After school today, James drove us to Coloni Sant Jordi, a pretty little port, for a bite to eat. We had intended to explore a nearby beach which was recommended by a local, but after having had quite a few days of exploring recently, we drove straight to Es Trenc beach instead. People had told me that this was their favourite beach on the island... It's definitely nice. A very long, narrow beach with nice sand and sea. However, it seemed to be having ...

... the ocean this time- it was beautiful clear water with little skeleton like fishes swimming around... a bit rocky on the floor in some places though- I always managed to find the rocks of course!

After heading back to the hostel to collect our bags, we caught a cab to the airport, bought some chocolates for the office, got on the plane and then we were back in London... just in time for work on ...
