... as the waves came in they took the board with us or knocked at our legs - people on the beach must have been secretly laughing inside but I just wanted to scream and throw it all in the sea. We eventually got to where we wanted to be and entered the water. We swam with it at first and I had my big camera wrapped around my wrist which made it all the more awkward to swim. ... and as the name suggests, it’s right on the beach. My room wasn’t ready when I checked in, and probably wouldn’t be until 3pm according to the girl at reception, but she offered to upgrade me to a Junior Suite for an extra $115 plus tax. This was available right away and as I was about to drop from a combination of jet lag and hangover I took her up on the offer for the first night.

The suite is quite big, if a little dated, but this is more ...

    Shopping!! :)

... air. When we did get up we decided to catch the bus we never found yesterday and head to one of the biggest open air shopping centres in America. We found the number 8 bus stop in the opposite direction to which we walked yesterday! And made our way across the island to the Ala Moana shopping centre. We spent a good amount of time here souvenir shopping, looking for flip flops for Joe ...
