      ... gate and was DNQ. We caught up with her at the finish area and although disappointed, she knew she would learn from the experience. She certainly has a beautiful smile and I am sure she will continue to follow her dream.       ... Christmas Tree Lighting
      That evening we went the the St Regis for their annual Christmas Tree Lighting. It is quite a spectacle. Carol singing, Champagne bottle opening with a Sabre (very dramatic) and of course a huge, superbly decorated and well lit tree. After the hills and surrounds of SF, to flying over the Rockies and seeing the mountains covered in snow to landing at Denver Airport and being surrounded by this bare, desolate and amazingly flat terrain.
