... as we know it today began here and about the families that lived here. The tour lasted about an hour and afterwards we walked around the shops and saw the haunted house. Kirsty wanted to go in but I knew we would regret it so we opted for a few drinks instead. It feels like we are already in Mexico. The next couple of days will just be sorting out things for cancun. Heading down the Pacific Coast Highway we were blown away by the landscape and stopped at the house where Orson Wells and Rita Hayworth once lived. The drive on highway 1 was truly beautiful and we also saw hundreds of Elephant seals lazing in the sun and playing in the water, well assume they were! Santa Barbara has been a real delight for us so chilled and clean! Fabulous artisan shops and discreet ...

... Union station was amazing, it's an Art Deco place with wonderful architecture and huge leather armchairs - beautiful. We were allocated seats upstairs on the train, we only had 'coach' but I've never seen anything like it - so much leg room & you pull a lever & it's a bed almost, well it does go all the way to Seattle, no idea how long that takes - our trip is 8 hours! After the tram ride, we wandered through the bat enclosure. They were very cute and fuzzy and made some great photos!
