... Union station was amazing, it's an Art Deco place with wonderful architecture and huge leather armchairs - beautiful. We were allocated seats upstairs on the train, we only had 'coach' but I've never seen anything like it - so much leg room & you pull a lever & it's a bed almost, well it does go all the way to Seattle, no idea how long that takes - our trip is 8 hours! ... the city. On our tour we visited a house for sale for $8m and although it was beautifully furnished there really wasn't that much space and no space to extend either. In the evening we visited a beautiful museum called the Getty centre, it was the first time we visited a museum in the evening and it was gorgeous. ... nice to see old friends there. Next it was back to La Mesa for lunch at Souplantation. Now some may be thinking why Souplantation? Well, we don't have them in Minnesota. When I emailed to ask when they would open one there, they pretty much said never. So darn it, that's where we ate and it was wonderful. Plus, all the kids ate free! ... have been there for a long time because the bricks are very faded but the models were fantastic and it was awesome seeing some of the places I have already seen on this trip made out of Lego. They also have a Star Wars Miniland which shows famous scenes from all of the movies. One of my favorites was the huge Millennium Falcon. ... a rollercoaster ride that is sure to get you wet (although not as wet as the "Shipwreck Rapids" which we managed to by-pass). The funniest thing about these rides was the adjacent drying booths where, for $5.00, you could stand inside and get blasted by warm air to dry off your clothes. Dylan had a second go on Atlantis with Dean & Erin and ended up the wettest of all of us.
