... They had everything on our list apart from ponchos
which is what we really went in for in case it pours with rain again
tomorrow since we were going to try and do San Diego Zoo.
So from our visit to Dollar Tree and
stuff I already had in the fridge/freezer we had a nice home cooked
dinner of chicken and veggies with pumpkin pie. We've enjoyed trying

... a huge park in the middle of San Diego and has lots of different museums and cafés dotted around it. After a Panda Express lunch sunset at the beach seemed like a good idea so we played frisbee there for a little while before going back to the campsite. As soon as we got back to the campsite we decided to head back out to a local mall because it's not the best campsite. ... s now the downtown area and we hung around to see the original buildings and restaurants.

There's a touristy area that was once the Old Town and it's been rebuilt to look like the original Mexican-Spanish settlement that marked the birth of California. It was a little too touristy for our tastes, but it was interesting to see, architecturally and culturally nonetheless.

... on a flat area with arbors and chairs and all that goes with a wedding and do an alfresco affair. Limos and suits look a little odd to me on the brown dirt, but the sun and ocean in the background are stunning!

... a magpie. No, I'm not crazy, it says "hi"... a lot. It also says "how you doin'?" Unfortunately, I was only able to get an AV of the "hi" as it refused too repeat the latter for my videoing pleasure. But I promise you, it really really did!
