... of the Sierra Nevada then we climbed through huge mountains which appears to be made from huge boulders thrown into heaps like giant gravel dumps. The road climbed steeply to 4000 feet with expansive views. Then gradually as the traffic got heavier and heavier we descended towards San Diego. We found our exit and hotel on the Hotel Circuit. ... out as a road we needed was not marked as we expected. We brought Susan back to swim in the bath water warm pool, only she did not want to swim. We packed and had dinner from the leftovers in the fridge. Ed and I took another walk on the boardwalk by the bay. The clouds blocked the moon tonight.



Seems Mary and Pat will be home tomorrow and so will we. Our blog followers are going to be seriously deprived of reading material. ...

... skilful Cirque del mar and rounded it off with the fun Pet Rules show featuring dogs, cats, birds, pigs, geese and even a couple of Wallabies! In between we watched adolphins being trained, sea otters, sharks, star fish, rays, tropical fish, seals, sea lions, frogs and penquins. It was a great day. ... find out where we were travelling from. They told us the clouds here do not mean anything except maybe fog. We told them if you saw that cloud back home, it meant rain in the next fifteen to thirty minutes. It really seems like everyone here is super friendly...well, I guess except for the guy at the park who wouldn't let us fish.

... to Starlight at 10.10 then an eight hour train ride to Salinas. We could just take the bike on the first train but it had to be boxed & go as baggage on the long ride. We were worried the 1hour wait at LA wouldn't be enough time to find the baggage area buy a box for $15 plus $10 train fare as a blog we read about taking the bike on the train said allow an hour for a bike & we had 2, no worries though as the guy in the baggage area was really ...
