... The roads we travelled on passed through various tunnels and over various extended bridges making me think Spain must be a civil engineer’s heaven.

We paused randomly and then only briefly in the rather depressing large town of Sallant and this provided what we took to be very evidence of stagnant Spanish economy with a number of crumbling industrial buildings long since in use and a town centre that was characteristic if only for its very, ...

... ornate ceilings. There is also a viaduct and other structures made out of rock.

There are stunning views from all over the hillside of Barcelona city and the sea below.

There are two small houses designed by Gaudi near the entrance to the park and they are like fairyland houses and reminded me of a gingerbread house and a mosque.

The mosaic work throughout the park is magnificent!

The place was magnificent, with 6 different floors, all different themed. The entirety of the hostel was based off rock music, a funky place made for young people. This can work. ...

... When we got back to the hostel, we freshened up a bit and then headed out to dinner. There was a steakhouse in the alley very close to our place which had a real wood charcoal grill in the kitchen right in the middle of the restaurant. I ordered a steak (turned out to be ribeye), Amanda had Chicken and we had olives as an appetizer (Amanda has discovered that she loves olives on this trip). Hers came with Potatoes and mine with white beans. I ...
