... highlights. The beach in Barcelona is lovely - it's very packed but surprisingly clean for the amount of people that go. The water is so refreshing, especially because Barcelona is also very hot. We spent a few days down at the beach. The Plaza de Catalunya and La Rambla is also a lovely area. A little shopping for everyone as we walked down Las Ramblas. It's difficult to find a mix of boutique type shops with a local flavour that aren't so exclusive that the stock is odd or exhorbitant in price.
