... slow motion and nothing you can do to help. There are these poles in the middle of the trail to prevent cars from driving on the trails and someone ran smack into it and flipped over the bike. She ended up being fine other than a cut chin and a big fright. Glad I brought the spray I was given to for my knee so I can be of a bit of help. She was a trooper and got back on and we continued the ride. Had nice conversation with fellow bikers as we traveled through this nice town. ...

... quits and head to the chip stand in the main square. The best
thing about being up late at night whilst travelling is you get unimpeded views
of all the attractions and more often than not they look even better, so with a
punnet of chips and mayo and bellies full of beer we enjoyed the serenity of
Bruges completely alone.

Night over it was home to bed in the squeaky bunk aware of the early start we had for
our train to Amsterdam.

... Bruge is particularly well known. We queued for a short while to climb up the 366 steps to the top of the belfry as they only allow 70 people in the tower at the same time. The belfry has no less than 47 bells, including an extremely large bell.

... the Main Street and we popped in to a couple of nice ones for a beer. My favourite was a bar that was decorated with lots of foliage to make it seem like a jungle. I then headed back to the hostel just before the last train with my new-found train riding skills.
