... were a bit stunned at first, but the improvements are very much appreciated! And the "new look" of Le Jardin in the backyard has certainly added a welcoming French touch. Even the graffiti is growing on us, since it's a reminder of Paris! Dee and I cannot thank them enough for the time and effort they put into this project.

Now that we've returned, it's time for a bit of a reality-check, and a lot of catching-up after such a long absence. ...

On our journey north to Savannah, we decided to stay in Daytona for the night. This is a short stay. We are in a motel on the world famous Daytona beach which is great, for only $30 each for the night.

the first thing we did when we arrived was go for a long walk down the road to the local mall. We got subway for dinner, then walked back along the beach. We saw the Daytona speedway on the way in. It is one mammoth venue.

... pebbled track that criss crossed the area, to all the different launch sites. We looked at what was left of the two shuttle platforms. One was still intact with complete tower and everything, the other, had had the tower deconstructed in preparation for another space program. It was here, in a small pond in the shadow of the shuttle launch tower that I saw my first wild America alligator. This swampy cape was covered in them as I saw many more now I knew where to look. ...
