All the "kids" went to Formula 1 today! It was great to hang out with just them and have fun. We took the train in then the tram, pretty smooth and easy to get there. The circuit is around one of their lakes.. looks like one of our manmade lakes at home. We arrived at 2 the race was starting at 4 so we had a bit to wait but it was so big walking around for 2 hours was pretty easy! Before we left Violetta was going on about how cold it was and ...
... for the bingo they had on that night, delivered by Noeleen (a character of a once famous comedian). With the drinks flowing and the atmosphere good it was made all the more enjoyable as three out of the five of us won prizes - I winning the first line, Louise winning the second line & Demi winning the feature at the end. Check in complete, we zipped on up to the eighth floor to scope out room 829 and see what kinda view we had. It was nothing to write home about since we looked out over a set of office buildings, ...

It's strange - New Zealand and Australia are much more 'first world' countries than places like Thailand and the Philippines, but I've had terrible internet here. It's almost never free, or only a small amount is free (50 MB). Or, as in the hostel I'm currently staying in, it's only free from 7 am to 6 pm. Which makes almost no sense. Oh well.A bit of a condensed entry then. Ry and I arrive in Melbourne on ...
