Bill would have loved it. As soon as the seatbelt sign went off he gave us each a glass of sparkling to get our holiday underway. ... were setting up the temporary stands and F1 paraphernalia around the track, but being a park, the track was still officially open to the public. So I took Beaten-Up Barry for a spin around the course pretending I was Lewis Hamilton. The lights turned from red to green and it was "Go! Go! Go!" as Murray Walker would shout! My lap time was atrocious but it was great being able to do a ‘hot lap’ (ok more like ...
