... taking nice pictures, we actually had a nice clear sunset and saw little penguins on the pier which is the primary reason for us going. It was great value at $10 (and I can tell you know I ate my sandwich/wraps worth alone) AND the tour guide from the hostel brought along his heinz57 called Cooper - which was great for Steph and I who are missing our doggies! ... over only to find there were loads of them. Big ones, little ones and most of them were awake and moving around. So so cute. We drove down to the lighthouse but to actually get to it you have to pay and it closed earlier than we thought so it wasn't going to be worth it. ... us home with croissants and a bottle of champagne, in case we were feeling homesick!!

Tomorrow we move on to Tasmania so we are excited about that. This evening we are going to dinner at Rebecca and Shaun’s beautiful apartment in the city’s docklands so will tell you all about that in our next blog. Sorry this is so long; we have done a lot in ten days and with no wifi at our little house by the beach, communication has been difficult.

... the aim was to see large groups of roos together and a baby roo in a pouch... Throughout the walk i saw one or 2 roos together in different places and came near enough face to face with a kangaroo that was taller than me, standing up straight and staring right at me, i admit i did mutter something am not proud of under my breath! (well he was big!) anyway, unfortunately i didnt see any baby roos, but within sight of the carpark ...
