Dillyin' and dallyin' in Dalyan
... ay, it was hard to think that in a few short hours on his flight home, Phil would cover the same distance as we had travelled in close to seven months. Dalyan’s empty streets had served us all surprisingly well in the past couple of days and, despite ongoing bread fatigue, we had seen a generous, human side to this mass of restaurants and bars that was often melancholy but also strangely endearing.
A warm embrace goodbye to Phil, and we were suddenly on our own again.

... calmer today and less windy, so it's a very smooth motor-sail. Mark and I are sitting on deck, typing and editing pictures to send. We will disembark tomorrow morning and begin our explorations around Ephesus and Kusadasi and will spend 2 nights at the Charisma Hotel in Kusadasi. In addition to seeing the ruins at Ephesus, we will be taking a short side trip to the Virgin Mary's house, where John took her to live.
