After a final week at Chuckleberry of chainsawing, wood splitting and bunkering the place down for winter it was finally time to start a new chapter in my journey. Icecave would be picking me up and taking me out to a place called 'Half-way hotsprings for some relaxing and exploring before I headed off to Colorado.
I felt very melancholy about leaving the farm. On the one hand I was really excited to get out to Colorado for some snowboarding, but I had grown really attached to ...

On Digger's last day we drove up through the high country north of Jefferson up over Georgia Pass (11,585ft on the Continental Divide) in his 'Lincoln Navigator' hire car - he had to change from his BMW 740 after the sunroof exploded!!!!. Test fired a few weapons......
Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....

After arriving in Denver late yesterday afternoon, Pat and I decided not to allow the grass to grow under our feet, and an early morning was planned.
At 7:00am the alarm rang and our day had started.
I decided to drive today, as the roads were fairly clear. It was to be a beauriful day with the temperature forecast to be around 28 degrees Celsius, as we set out for our first destination of ...
