Update 1 - Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Ours was nice and quiet. We had a roast dinner and offcourse a couple of beers and lemon/lime & bitters for Margaret. The weather was supposed to be bleak for pretty much the whole festive period, however, it was fine Christmas day, then started closing in that afternoon and the rain started. With still a lot of driving to do we headed off again stopping after about 45 minutes at Coffs Harbour. We had intended to have a proper look around but with time against us we ended up heading straight to the Big Banana - which is indeed just that. ... Lona is busy at the stove preparing tonights feast, and I am about to go upstairs and read a book Lona has read and recommended, might even dose, never know your luck!!

Next blog will hopefully be from Georgetown after we successfully negotiate the final 240 k's of what will have been a total journey of 6,500 k's, (About 4,000 miles for the northern hemisphere lot) That could have probably got us to Greece and back from England.

... losing a shoe in the process and dropped to the grass. The instantaneous pain had subsided somewhat but the cut was deep and blood begun to flow mercilessly from my hand. “******* hell” was naturally the first thought that ran through my mind. ... to go! She went in a farm to take care of horses (I thought of my niece CÚline) and in an animal's hospital where she took care of Kangaroos, Opossums, Wombats, and other animals I did not recognise... ah and Koala bears of course!
