... our kayak was slowly sinking so we headed to a shallow area ( by a big pile if shopping trollies) to empty it out. We saw trees full of big bats so looked up with our mouths closed, and lots of big lizards lazing on the branches which mark was feeding bananas to. We then deiced to have a walk and find the glass house that is meant to be really nice and cost 16 million rather than 6 orgionally, so we were looking for this really impressive building with stain glass windows, er nope, it was just a big fancy building covered in black glass, disappointing.com.
Then we headed back to the hostel to get our bag and head down to the bus station, to get the greyhound to Coffs Harbour which was only a couple of hours away.
... Maquarie and I knew right then I had to strongly encourage him to pursue this. After a few phone calls we drove down to the airport to meet with the pilot. The first loop proceeded rather uneventfully, although I did notice some athletes being called for drafting (in situations that I didn't feel warranted penalty). With this in mind, I opted to stay vigilant and got through the bike without a trip to the penalty box (unlike Keith, who was penalized for not slowing down enough after someone passed him, and spent 4 minutes in a penalty box). ...
